Myday is an iOS app designed to revolutionize how users manage their daily tasks and routines. By providing a clean, user-friendly interface, Myday helps users stay organized and focused. The app was created following extensive research into user needs and market-leading productivity apps, resulting in a minimalist design that simplifies daily planning.

In a fast-paced world, missed appointments and important deadlines often lead to stress and disorganization. Users struggle with a lack of focus and productivity due to these challenges. "Myday" was born out of the need for a comprehensive solution to these pressing issues.

To understand the needs of our target audience, we conducted extensive user research. This included benchmarking several popular productivity apps to identify best practices and gaps in the market. We also created a detailed user persona based on our findings.

Extensive user research allowed us to empathize with our users. We discovered that the fear of missing appointments and deadlines was a significant source of stress. Feeling overwhelmed due to disorganization was a common theme.

We thoroughly analyzed leading productivity apps, such as Todoist, Structured, and Any.do, to identify their strengths and weaknesses. This process allowed us to adopt best-in-class features while innovating to address our users' specific pain points.

Meet Sarah, our primary user persona. Sarah is a busy professional who juggles work, family, and personal goals. She values simplicity, organization, and a stress-free daily routine. "Myday" was designed with Sarah's needs and pain points in mind, ensuring it resonates with users like her.

I aimed to create an interface that allowed users to focus on their daily schedules without feeling overwhelmed. The decision to use a timeline-based layout stemmed from the need to provide clarity and structure to users’ days.

I worked to ensure that the user journey was seamless, from creating tasks to viewing daily overviews. The color palette, predominantly blue, was chosen for its calming effect and to evoke feelings of control and focus. I also prioritized accessibility, ensuring the app was easy to navigate and intuitive for users across various experience levels.

The goal was to maintain a minimalist aesthetic that reduced cognitive load, allowing users to focus solely on their tasks and routines. Throughout the process, I iterated on wireframes and prototypes based on feedback, refining the design to balance simplicity with functionality.

A unique aspect of this project was the app icon design. I crafted a minimalist icon to reflect the brand’s identity and ensure it stood out on users’ home screens.

Additionally, for a Christmas promotion, I designed a holiday-themed app icon that captured the festive spirit while aligning with the app’s visual style.

Myday has made a strong impact in the productivity app space. The app has earned 521 ratings with an average score of 4.6 on the App Store. It has also been featured multiple times in the App Store, recognizing its clean, user-friendly design and functionality.
